In this section we are going to see some of the best-selling
handmade
Damascus folding knives here in Hennie. We will not talk to you
about all the specifications of each knife, but we will explain the look, feel
and ease of use of the knife. If you want more information about the knife in
question or if you want to buy it (or any of the other knives shown in this
publication), click on the image to take it to the specific page of the knife
in question.
The knives we are focusing on are: Buck Special, Falk Niven
S1, Down Under Walkabout and TOPS TEX Creek Hunter
Buck
Special
From the leather case to the knife, this is an impressive
tool. When you take it out of the box it just has that nice smell of leather.
You know, the one that lets you know that this is the kind of real smell. The
knife is a hollow double whole cutout point, which as we mentioned above makes
it ideal for a hunter's tool. The construction of the blade is complete, which
gives the knife not only a great balance but also an extra resistance, which is
ideal for the most difficult tasks. The design is simply perfect. The sheet is
bright and clear outside the box. Then, I went down to the handle that has been
designed for me but that also looks impressive. There is also a hidden rivet on
the handle, so there are no interruptions in the smoothness of it. Back to the
case. The last thing we like about this is that there is an extra leather strap
to help secure the knife in place (very useful if you tend to lose or loose
things!).
Fallkniven F1
Honestly, it's the least attractive of the 4, but what does
that have to do with it? Ergonomics in this is sensational. It is designed to
be a knife that is not only good for business, but also a pleasure to use. Nor
is it the largest of the knives, but it definitely has the feel of a much
larger blade in terms of the strength it has. Like the Buck Special, it has a
complete construction, however, the point of balance in this knife is slightly
more towards the butt of the knife. The material of the handle is extremely
resistant and not only provides comfort, but also helps control the knife. The
last thing to keep in mind of this knife is that the blade is a completely flat
routine (although people crush again in Scandia), which gives this knife a
great versatility so that it is not only used as a hunting knife specific.
TOPS Tax Creek Hunter
Tax Creek has a routine similar to Fallkniven F1. Which,
like the Fallkniven, makes it a versatile and good hunting knife. What makes
this knife stand out from the rest is not just its distinctive look with the
river / stonewash finish, but the addition of a cold finger for precision work.
This is a great asset for any knife, especially for a hunter looking to work
with a small game. In the upper part of the handle there is also a good amount
of gimping that improves the grip both when using the cold finger as not. Like
all the knives we have seen so far, this is also a complete knife, and like the
Fallkniven F1, the point of balance is slightly towards the butt of the knife
compared to the Buck Special. Looking at the pod We love the leather case, once
again, it has the look, feel and smell of leather, the only problem is that the
knife is not as safe in this case as in the others.
Down Under Walkabout
This is the largest of the four knives we are focusing on
today. It is also a heavy knife, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The
leaf itself attracts attention not only because of Bowie's shape, but because
it is blindly bright. It is not very different from the Buck Special in terms
of form and style. The handle differs the feeling is very pleasant, and the shape
of the belly makes the grip really comfortable. The knife is also well balanced
for a knife of its size, and really, although it is a large knife, it does not
necessarily have the weight it can expect. Just because it's lighter, do not
wait any longer for your money! It is a knife with a purpose in mind.
